E-tax
Submitted my e-tax on 29/07 (which was a Saturday night) and got the refund on 04/08. Really fast process. The whole process only took about half an hour. All I did was filling in the different forms. Very simple and easy to use (well, other than some of the terminology I don’t understand) I tried to submit e-tax last year, but for some reason, it just did not go through. Even after I rang up the ATO support hotline, the operator could not figure out why it did not go through. He suggested me submitted a manual one eventually. By memory, it took close to three weeks to get the refund last year.
Another good thing about e-tax is that you can actually abstract some of the information from previous e-tax returns which save a bit of time there.
Hehee, I got pocket money for holiday this year!! Holiday is just at the corner. Well, at least I bought some stuff my family wants this time. (I was so in a hurry last time, did not get time to go shopping.) But I think I still need to do some shopping for close friends and relatives. Well, I still got plenty of times to do that (although shopping is not something interests me, I will survive.)
I don’t like taking medicines, especially those liquid ones. But if I can have lollies with those liquid medicines, I don’t mind that much.
Haven’t been playing badminton as good as I would like to see recently, Thursday nights comp is really frustrating at the moment. Firstly, I am not a really double player. I don’t really know what to do in a double game. (don’t like moving a lot). My back court shots are just bad. Secondly, I never had experience in playing doubles with a partner weaker than me. All my previous double games, my partners were at least my standard if they were not much better. I was the one being picked all the time. Opponents tended to hit to me most of the time. And now, I found myself in a situation that they avoid hitting to me and I don’t know when I should take a charge / try to take over. Thirdly, my mixed double is just bad! Sam and I could lose our mixed games (Sam is a very strong player), what am I going to do in mixed doubles on Thursdays?? I don’t know whether I should come back and try to play a bit doubles in the game, or I should just stick to my normal mixed double positions. I guess at the end of the day, it does not make much difference anyway given that my mixed is just as bad as my doubles. Fourthly, some of the players in the comp are quite, hmm, interesting. You will see a lady quoting all the IBF rules for her own advantages (when she hit to the net before the shuttle landed – our shot did not go over, she would say it was not a fault, and they won the point!). you will also find two team mates question about each other’s judgement DURING the rally. one would say, it was out, the other would answer it was not when we were still in the rally?! I am not sure whether it was just me picking up on those things. (I might be too picky, but for sure, not as picky as Hendry.)
Talking about Hendry, wondering what he is doing in singapore. Both Zel and Andrew want him back. They just realised that Hendry was their regular double partner in the past. (not too sure how it worked. Both of them claimed that Hendry was their regular partner in the past.) Well, guys, you will have to fight for Hendry.
